Carol Cartwright

Carol A. Cartwright is an American academic administrator and president of Bowling Green State University. She became interim president of BGSU in July 2008, succeeding Sidney Ribeau who left to become president of Howard University. She became president of BGSU on January 6, 2009, and will retire in June, 2011 when her contract expires. [1] [2]

She served as the 10th president and first woman president of Kent State University (March 1991-July 2006). [3] Cartwright was previously the vice chancellor for Academic Affairs at the University of California at Davis and dean for undergraduate programs and vice provost at The Pennsylvania State University.

Dr. Cartwright earned master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and her bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater.
